Co-operative Childcare St. Finian’s, Lucan

Co-operative Childcare St. Finian’s is part of Co-operative Housing Ireland. We opened in 2001 and have been in operation since then providing the highest quality of childcare in Lucan.

We are a not-for-profit organisation and believe in investing in our service, providing additional supports to disadvantaged families and children requiring extra support who are in our care.

Early Childhood care

9am – 12pm Monday – Friday

We provide high quality early childhood care and education and offer the free 2-year ECCE programme to preschool children.

Afterschool care

We also provide After school care: 1.30pm – 5.15pm, Monday – Friday.

We collect from St Anne’s, St Thomas and Esker Educate together Lucan and provide a warm meal and homework supervision.

Science Technology Engineering Art & Math’s

We also provide child-led play incorporating STEAM activities in a bright fun and caring environment.

We operate for 50 weeks of the year for our School Aged Childcare including during school holidays for the full day 9am – 5pm at no extra cost.

During term time we provide trips and activities at no extra cost to the parents.

National Childcare Scheme

Parents are encouraged to apply for the National Childcare Scheme, where you can avail of subsidies on your fees. ncs.gov.ie

Registration and Accreditation

Our centre is registered and inspected by Tusla – The Child and Family Agency

We are accredited by Siolta, the National Quality Assurance Programme, and have been validated by the Department of Education and Skills scoring the highest score possible in Quality delivery of Childcare & Education.

We have a strong team of highly experienced and qualified early years educators.

Our curriculum is play-based and encourages the holistic wellbeing of our children in a fun and relaxed environment.

Our Curriculum programme has also been inspected by the Department of Education and we received an EXCELLENT rating.
